Question 1

Is Yaylist really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, completely. No plans, no limits, no trial, no card. Every account gets unlimited lists and items.

Question 2

How does Yaylist make money?

Accepted Answer

Only from affiliate commissions. Amazon and eBay links on shared lists carry Yaylist's affiliate code; when someone buys, the retailer pays us a percentage. It costs the buyer nothing and we never sell data.

Question 3

Do you add affiliate links to my list?

Accepted Answer

On shared lists, yes: Amazon and eBay links carry Yaylist's affiliate code, which is how the service is funded. Any affiliate code already in a link you paste is replaced by ours. Private lists are untouched, and the code never changes the price anyone pays.

Question 4

Does Yaylist work with every store?

Accepted Answer

If it has a product page with a link, you can add it. We read most pages automatically and let you fix the rest by hand.

Question 5

Do I need to install an app or extension?

Accepted Answer

No. Yaylist runs entirely in your browser. Paste the link and you are done.

Question 6

Can my friends see what I want?

Accepted Answer

Only if you share the list. Everything starts private.

Question 7

What happens when someone reserves an item for me?

Accepted Answer

Nothing changes on your side. The item still looks available to you, so the surprise is safe. Other gift-givers see that it is taken.

Question 8

How do group gifts work?

Accepted Answer

Someone starts a group gift on an item and pledges an amount; others chip in with their own pledges until it is covered. Yaylist only keeps track of the pledges. Paying for the gift happens between you, however you like.
